Prison Facilities in Austria?

Bayi forwarded me these pictures indicating that this is a prison facility in Austria.

I just could not believe it.

Just like an aquarium, the walls are made of glass.

The gymn to keep the inmates physically fit.

It looks more like a dorm instead of a prison cell.

The game room to while away hours.

A meeting hall?

Are you a vegetarian?

Bayi sent these pictures with a note, how do you like your vegetables. Whoever did these is really very creative. Salute to you whoever you are.

This is a papaya shaped into a pig. The papaya, also known as mamão, tree melon, fruta bomba, lechosa (Venezuela, Puerto Rico, the Philippines and the Dominican Republic), or pawpaw is the fruit of the tree Carica papaya, in the genus Carica.

The unripe papaya is a favorite vegetable with chicken. It is called tinola in Tagalog. It is also good as "achara". Grated thinly and cooked in vinegar with sugar, and carrot, it is a good appetizer for meat dish.

When ripe, papaya is eaten as fruit.

Eggplant

The eggplant, aubergine, or brinjal (Solanum melongena) is a solanaceous plant bearing a fruit of the same name, commonly used as a vegetable in cooking.

Some of the recipes for eggplant is the bake with parmessan cheese, stew and or boiled with some tomatoes or lemon.

Bokchoy is a member of the Brassica family and is a type of cabbage. It has white stem and dark green leaves and is used in soups and stir-fries, and braised dishes.,

Green Bell Pepper
Bell Pepper is a cultivar group of the species Capsicum annuum. Colors include red, yellow, green and orange.

Orange
Who doesn't know orange?

Praying Mantis Does not Pray for its Prey

Unelievable!!! When I saw these pictures forwarded to me thru e-mail, I could not believe that the harmless-looking praying stick could eat the spider with its spider web as protection for predator proved useless.

I do not know the source of these pictures, but they fascinated me. It is a waste to send them to the recycle bin. So I made a research about praying mantis and spider.

Here is the spider, seemingly secure in its spider web.
It has constructed web, glistening like polished platinum, with a "come hither" charm.

spider

The construction of the web is done during the night, so the little poor spider must be snoozing waiting for an insect to come by its parlor for breakfast.

This is the praying mantis which obviously has taken the color of the branch to which it was "attached".The praying mantis is sometimes called the dragon because it is a fierce hunter. The female eats the male mantis after mating. Small as it is, it attacks butterflies, bees, beetles, frogs, spiders, mice, lizards, and small birds.

praying mantis

Praying mantis has good eyesight, so it was no wonder that its attention was directed to the sleeping spider.

praying mantis
Spiders have eight eyes, eight legs, two body parts, outside skeletons, and fangs.
The mantis knows how to attack. Before the spider could snare it in a web, it has gotten hold of one of the legs.

The web caught the spider itself, so that its other legs could not free itself from the hold of the mantis.

The praying mantis bites the back of their victim's neck to paralyze it.

Praying mantis' front legs are not for praying but for holding the prey.
